Method1 is seeking a dynamic Strategist to join our team. We are looking for a critical thinker that enjoys unlocking answers to complex questions. You are naturally curious with a sense of what are the right questions to ask to further the work. You have the vision to see both the big idea and the tactical path to get there. You’re adept in taking abstract concepts and bringing them to life for clients.

The Strategist will work on select accounts in the Spirits space and report to the Director of Strategy. Throughout the development process, they will collaborate with internal teams (Accounts, Creative, Media) to ensure the work is on brief & meets the client’s strategic goals.

Candidates can work remotely but must be available to work and meet during East Coast hours.

  • Leads Creative Territory development 
  • Works hand-in-hand with Client Partner on  roadmapping
  • Presents TLs / agency program briefings


Strategic Development of Programs

  • Collaborate across departments to develop brand-right ideas for programs in partnership with the Director of Strategy
  • Write briefs across assigned brands in collaboration with key stakeholders ensuring each project is aligned to the brand’s communications plan, unlocks thinking on critical questions, and has clear direction for our internal teams
  • Collaborate with Accounts to guide internal kick offs, walk teams through the brief, and help answer questions
  • Collaborates with Comms Director on 4Cs Research, Journey Maps, and Message Maps

 Day-to-Day Strategic Guidance

  • Meet weekly with Account Team on strategic work in development
  • Ensure strategy is seamlessly integrated into all aspects of the work and provide guidance at key milestones
  • Help translate creative concepts into compelling presentations
  • Bring clarity of thought to team when dealing with complex marketing challenges
  • Report on weekly progress of projects to Director of Strategy

 Client Support

  • Attend weekly client status meetings and actively provide strategic lens and POV to Clients on day-to-day work
  • Ensure presentations are client-ready and help deliver key presentations
  • Listen to client feedback on key presentations and help determine actionable next steps

Strategy Department Support

  • Assist with special department projects such as consumer research
  • Provide guidance to new business and ventures teams



  • 4-6 years of experience as a strategist at a marketing, advertising or consultant agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience with developing CPG brand campaigns and promotions from concepting to execution
  • Experience leading client presentations and discussions
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with ability to think on your feet and provide guidance
  • Spirits or Business Consulting experience a plus
  • Consumer Research experience (e.g. MRI, quantitative studies, focus groups) a plus
  • Comms Planning experience a plus
