Senior Copywriter - Method1 Full-time


Method1 is a team of modern marketers that practices the art & science of behavior change for CPG indulgence brands. We do this by building interconnected marketing ecosystems that place the human experience at the center of our brand-building strategies across owned, earned, and paid media. Clients include Heaven Hill Distillery's Elijah Craig, Evan Williams, and Larceny bourbons, Lunazul Tequila, Cape Tide Hard Tea, as well as ShadyRays sunglasses and Wellow compression socks.

We're looking for a skilled Senior Copywriter to join our Concept & Content team to help us craft compelling messages for challenger brands in the Spirits/CPG category, as well as lead and manage a small but mighty copy team as we continue to bring on new clients. You have a knack for storytelling, are a conceptual thinker, and have ambitious ideas that you want to bring to life in art and copy. You pride yourself on knowing how to say a lot with a little, and you can do so in lots of different ways. You have experience writing copy for 360 marketing campaigns, including digital ads, social, video, and OOH. You are self-motivated and a strong collaborator. You want to grow your leadership skills and use your expertise to nurture and support junior creatives.


As Senior Copywriter, you will be responsible for overseeing all copy across multiple brands and platforms, ensuring that messaging delivers on strategy and is written in the correct style and tone of voice. In addition, you will lend your expertise to concepting innovative brand campaigns, social campaigns, and more; alongside a passionate and curious team of copywriters, designers, Art Directors, and creative strategists.

  • Craft clean, concise copy on time and on strategy
  • QA/QC copy deliverables across multiple brands (on tone, on strategy)
  • Lead by example in managing and supporting junior copywriters and freelancers
  • Provide clear, actionable, and constructive feedback on copy
  • Be a brand steward by maintaining and developing a brand's messaging tone and style
  • Collaborate with designers, art directors, and social lead to develop thoughtful campaign concepts and client presentations
  • Present creative work confidently both to agency senior leadership and clients
  • Actively contribute to the development of the agency's culture and standards of quality, collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity


  • 5+ years experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (English, Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing major a plus)
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to write and think conceptually, and how those ideas translate into design/visual execution
  • A passion for writing and a mastery of the English language
  • A drive to create work that's memorable and category defining
  • An ability to independently manage your time and prioritize projects, balancing efficiency with careful attention to detail
  • A collaborative work ethic that is self-motivated, humble, organized, and accountable
  • An interest in growing your skillset as a creative leader
  • Availability to work standard New York business hours (Eastern Time)
